Dane Bohnert has over 30 years of experience in Quality & Lean Transformation. After graduating from Indiana University in Bloomington, Dane started out in an operations supervisor role, and then became a Quality Tech at a Japanese tier 1 supplier of metal stamped, welded, and plastic injection molded automotive parts. Dane then became a Quality Engineer in a plastic injection molding supplier in the automotive & information technology company, where he was promoted to Quality Manager. Dane was a Supplier Development Specialist with Toyota, where he learned from experts in the Toyota Production System, and helped suppliers meet Toyota's high expectations for Quality & Delivery performance. Dane spent several years leading Quality & Lean Transformation at the US operations of German process controls technology company Endress+Hauser (Automation Instrumentation division), contributing to a greater than 95% reduction in quality defects to customers, and on-time delivery improvement to over 99%. Dane is a part-time subcontractor for Purdue University Manufacturing Extension Partnership, where he has spent several years helping Indiana companies learn and implement advanced manufacturing principles.
